Ceramic coatings are a great way to keep your car looking pristine. Ceramic coatings are a liquid polymer that our professional detailers apply by hand. Ceramic coatings are more durable than paint sealant alone and have many great benefits that make the cost of its application well worth your while.

Our customers are often curious about how we apply ceramic coating to vehicles. The process as a whole seems simple, but it is important to note that application by trained professionals will ensure that your ceramic coating is applied correctly so that it can last for as long as possible. Though the application process does differ based on what package you choose, here is a breakdown of each step:
At The Detail Freaks, the ceramic coating process begins with our signature hand wash. It is all about washing your car's surface with soap and water to ensure that all the dirt, dust, bird droppings, and other top-layer of debris are removed.
To ensure the best results, we provide all of our detailers with the right tools for the job, including effective sponges, degreasers, and other cleaning agents.
While some spots will certainly be stubborn, count on us to do everything we can to eliminate all markings on your vehicle's surface. But if they persist, you can be sure that we will get rid of them in the next step of our process.
We can only deliver an excellent ceramic coating job if your surface is free of debris, whether tough or easy to remove. That's why we will go ahead with surface decontamination using a clay bar after the initial wash.
A clay bar is just that—a bar of clay that contains a cleaning agent that effectively eliminates small debris and other contaminants still left on your car after our signature hand washes. Our ceramic coating experts will rub clay bar on your vehicle in cross hash movements, gently massaging the surface to remove stubborn contaminants in the porous, clear coat layer of your vehicle's paint.
They will keep rubbing the clay bar on your surface until the level of friction decreases. The idea here is to fill the pores of your car with clay, creating a completely flat covering over the paint. This way, the nano-ceramic coating will adhere to your car better, giving it a smooth appearance while acting like a protective layer.
Since ceramic coatings last for as long as two years, we will inspect your car some more to fix any chips in the car's paint. Our detailing pros use a dual-action buffer to polish your vehicle to remove all minor defects and a leveled, clear coat is achieved.
Depending on the results, we might also opt to use a light polishing pad with a finishing polishing product without fillers—no sealants or waxes.
We will certainly do a full paint correction with multiple polishing phases if we work on a car with many swirl marks or scratches. After all, remember that a ceramic coating gives your car a paint protection film. It doesn't fix minor paint flaws.
We will use an array of tools during this phase, including:
Ceramic coating forms
Silica spray (which should come with your ceramic coating package)
A sponge (s)
Microfiber cloth
With that said, we will first apply a ceramic coating silicon dioxide solution using a foam applicator block and a microsuede applicator cloth. The foam black is wrapped around the suede applicator, and then the silicon solution is applied.
Our ceramic coating experts will use cross hash movements similar to our clay bar decontamination phase to ensure excellent results. Our experts work in small areas to provide a more effective silicon application process.
We will use a microfiber towel to remove any water without ruining the car's paint. This way, we also get to keep it in place for longer.
It's time to give your vehicle's paint super protection! If swirl marks and other surface imperfections undermine your car's overall look, getting a ceramic coating will help you restore it to its former glory. And while it is easy to consider DIY ceramic coating, only a professional detailer from The Detail Freaks can give your car a head-turning and satisfactory job. We are always ready, so be sure to drive in for our ceramic coating services whenever you are ready.
